Right so I've been toying with an idea and now I'm gonna make it happen.

I'm starting up a team of people for some low-budgeted video making. No worries, you may not even need to step in front of a camera.  All that's needed is opinions, some background knowledge and maybe even your voice.

It's all about Video games and the first episode has been set as The Sims 3. Second is up for debate, but I was thinking maybe one of the Grand theft Auto titles (not necessarily GTA IV), or something like Portal ... I'm jumping between games right now.

But the point is, you can participate. If you wanna regular input to the show them feel free to Tweet me @RaeRae1192, or send me an email at raerae1192games@gmail.com . If you just wanna share an opinion for a one off, then send a tweet with #title (eg #Sims3). I'll do my best to read as many as possible and a handful will be used in the vid.

Thanks
Bops xx

I was sitting in my lecture as I was writing this blog, because Strategic Management bores the life outta me. I remembered a promise I made to a good friend of mine a week ago, and now I’m fulfilling my promise.

First off, I’m gonna talk about the upgrade to my site. I let my friend lose on my site, and she produced what you see now. I think it’s amazing, ‘cos it’s very xbox-like. Makes me think a little of Xbox360Achievements.org .  She’s been showing me a few things about website design and I’ve been making a few tweaks to it. Now it’s just about finished but there’s still a bit of work to be done to it, such as the picture banner at the top, but I’m working on it. So a big load of thanks to Franki White and her knowledge of website design. Be sure to check out her site too at  http://frankivaleriewhite.weebly.com/ (it's not finished yet, but she'll regularly update I'm assuming .... oh and SPONSOR!). Be sure to check it out, and keep your eyes and ears open for some material I’ll be doing with her and a few other friends. I’ll keep ya posted.

I’m also excited about my video editing. I have been working on some video editing, most of it basic but I’m getting to grips with some simple but cool stuff. I’m always experimenting and I’m hoping to get some stuff out either through or just after Easter. Some stuff I’m trying to upload is mainly video gaming footage, such as some footage from Mario Kart Wii. When I’m confident, I’ll be stringing together lots of different types of footage to make a mini-show of hopefully 15 mins and they’ll be available on YouTube.

I’m also gonna tell you how you can participate in these videos. You see, I’m gonna be talking about mainly video games, because that’s our specialist area (by we, I mean myself and my “team” who are yet to be decided). We love games, from PS3 to DS. We’ll be talking about new releases, older games, even a few retro games and we’ll take opinions from anybody on any games we’re covering. I’ll be posting a topic on a page within this site and you can post your opinions and they may be featured in our show.

Ok, maybe I haven't stuck to my original promise of blogging every Thursday, but hey, I'm blogging now. So what have you missed?

Well it's now March, and stuff has happened. Sorry, I wasn't specific enough, allow me to clarify. I've been working not-so-hard and been devising plans. Let's start with the boring stuff. It's so boring it isn't even getting it's own paragraph. I've been working on my strategic management assignment. I'll not lie, I HATE IT and I'm not all that interested in it, but I'm plodding on with it. It's boring and stupid, but I have to do it. There, boring stuff out the way, now to talk about other stuff ...

... Like my Birthday! Yes, 11th March was my big 2-0 Birthday. 20 isn't really that special, but this year my big day landed 2 days after Mass Effect 3 landed in the UK and I was freakin desperate for that game! I mean desperate. So desperate that I told my brother, the only person likely to get me the game, that if he didn't get it for me I was gonna kick him in the nuts soo hard he'd end up on the moon, along with a few other "threats". Luckily for me I got it, along with an N7 t-shirt. Shame they didn't have my size but I want that tee, so I'm keeping it, despite it being too big for me. I finished the campaign on the next Wednesday and OMG I'm in love! Thank you Bioware! I got a few other cool, nifty things. Most of it edible and has now made it's new home in my food stash, but I love ME3. I also love my little me, made by my good pal Franki. I'll be putting a link to her page in here! Check it out.

I'm making lots of new plans, and I'm looking for a team to make it happen. Hopefully I'll find people sooner rather than later. But I'm to run my ideas through a few other people and if they don't pass, or they don't help me out ... then that's a real shame. Some of these ideas are pretty good (if I do say so myself).

I'm still playing through some games, like the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, for the first time since the games were released originally. I'm also trying to figure out Street Fighter X Tekken so any pointers on SF controls would be really useful. The game manual is rubbish, hardly explains anything!

I also got myself a 3DS a few days before my birthday. Still trying to figure a few things out on it, but I'll be ready to go before long. It's metallic red, and I only have Mario games at the moment. More specifically: Mario Kart 7 and Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics 2012. I've also got the newest Professor Layton game, but I'm not in the right frame of mind for puzzles this month. Got any suggestions for new games, please leave a comment.

Batman out.

I'll apologise now for not blogging as much as I should, but these last few weeks haven't really been that pleasant, more a painful and laborious task than a pleasure-filled month so where shall we start ...

Well, we'll talk about the end of January. I got a green screen from my pa. It's huge and should do the trick. Shame YouYube is a d*ck ... more about that in my last blog. Anyhow, moving swiftly on. I'm hopefully gonna be doing some stuff with it soon and hopefully YouTube can stop being gay and load it up properly. But until then I'm still slaving away at my university work and my video-gaming.

So in regards to university, it didn't exactly re-commence hitch free. I missed my first Spanish lesson of the year by getting lost and not printing off my timetable. My own fault I suppose. Also doesn't help when I'm looking for Judith and find Miguel ... which sounds crazy on its own, nut when you add the fact that an email was sent out informing us of how Judith wasn't teaching for a few weeks, then you can maybe see the error on my part. If not, I'll spell it out for ya .... I DIDN'T READ MY EMAILS!

I also got my first results back, and guess what? I got a decent mark for my Business Ethics report which I based on Tesco. Not in the 90's but 61% is decent enough for me when 40% is a low pass. Plus my tutor said it was a good mark so I'm good with that. Now the long wait for my Finance results. I feel I may have done rubbish so I'm having a slight panic, but it's not important right now.

So let's move on to other things, because no-one likes to talk about work. I bought the Darkness 2 recently and despite only doing a little bit, I feel semi-addicted. I say semi because Uni has prevented me from playing it morning, noon and night. I have a day off tomorrow so I'm hoping to finish the story then and hopefully get a good long look at Jackie Estacado. Rather fap-worthy .... I mean good looking. I shouldn't be talking about stuff like that.

I got my platinum trophy for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh I forgot to mention that I've moved onto February now. January was pretty boring, but better stuff happened in Feb. So back to what I was saying about Pirates (I'm not typing LEGO PotC every time, so you're only getting Pirates). It's not the first time I've completed the game. I did it for the xbox, but I'm trying to build a platinum list on my PS3 so I thought the LEGO games was a good place to start.

I also had my first Subway this month. I've always been a little unsure about it, because everytime someone I knew got one, it was full of salad and sh*t I don't like, so I opted out. Then the TV started shoving £3 meal deals in my face, then my really fussy brother had one. He's very fussy about what he eats, so I thought "If he can have one and like it, so can I!" so I mosied on over and played it safe at first with a simple ham & cheese sub. Was strange 'cos there was no butter, so I decided to get something with sauce. Now I'm hooked on 6" Meatball Marinara subs with extra cheese (sliced of course) in Italian bread. Delish!

With that out of the way, I suppose I better talk about the only thing mentioned in the title: Valentine's Day. Now I'm single. Not upset about it, I don't wish I had a boyfriend, and if I'm completely honest, I'm probably a little better off without. So yesterday was a bit of a rubbish day for me. It was bad enough that Whitney Houston, the singer of I Will Always Love You, died (not that I was a huge fan, not gonna lie) but now there's hearts everywhere, couples everywhere, and this whole concept of Valentine's Day shoved in the faces of people like myself, who are3 single and couldn't give a f**k about Valentine's Day. To me, it's just like Easter, and Christmas: an opportunity for companies to pump out some cr*ppy merchandise with hearts and cupid on it, and make profits. The only difference between Christmas & Easter together and Valentine's Day is that I kinda enjoy them, and benefit from them with the gifts and chocolate eggs, etc. St. Valentine's Day seems pathetic. It's the day for couples ... but don't they enjoy being a couple anyway? Don't they consider everyday a mini-Valentine's Day (less expensive, obviously)? Or do they need a whole day recognised by the whole world as their day? Silly if you ask me. If you're gonna celebrate love and relationships, isn't it anniversaries that are more precious than a card and a box of chocolates once a year, especially 'cos on anniversaries, you're likely to get a card, flowers, chocolates and maybe even more?

Just my opinion. you may disagree, so leave a comment with your view if you wish. Personally, I think it's a silly thing. Might just be because I'm single, I'm grateful that I don't have to get someone a gift covered in hearts, and I get a little annoyed with couples from time to time (ok maybe a little more often than that ...). But hey, it's just an opinion.

And now we arrive at today, the day I learn how intolerant I am of certain groups of people and certain services, mainly public transport (buses), old people and children between the ages of 0-16, sometimes people my age are just as annoying but that might just be where I live being absolutely rubbish! On the plus side ... my Spanish text book arrived, so I no longer need to pretend I read stuff and pretend to open a textbook.

'Til next time peeps ...

Right so now it's time to get something off my chest to everybody and not just my friends on Facebook. It's been bugging me a little while and it's doing my head in! YouTube ...

The last video I uploaded without any problems was my Borderlands PS3 theme preview and it turned out ok. No problems with it, looks ok for an ipod recording but I could do better. Well, yes I CAN do better.

I ordered a Hauppage HD PVR not long after Xmas, and it's here at last. It's sleek and records my xbox footage brilliantly (still trying to figure out the optimum settings for PS3). And I've been recording footage for my YouTube channel: RaeRae1192. I've been recording Saints Row the Third Footage along with remakes of things I already have on there that have poor visibility, i.e my LEGO Harry Potter guides.

I've also now created a new PS3 theme: The Sims 3. Now when I upload them, there doesn't seem to be any issues ... until you go to watch them. Now how can I put it politely? Well if the not-so-polite way is to say "The picture quality is seriously f***ed up and its fricken p***ing me off so f***ing much!" then I suppose the polite way is to explain what I mean by that.

You see, if you go to my channel and first watch the Borderlands theme video, you can see what I would ideally like my videos to look like, sure, I'd like more HD etc etc, but you'll see what I mean when I then ask you to watch my Sims 3 theme video which I uploaded about 2-3 days ago. You can see the difference yeah? The screen goes all weird, and it's annoying me soo much that I swear a little more than I usually would. It's frustrating!

So all I ask is that a solution be found. If you know what's up then please help me out! I'd appreciate it muchly. That's my rant at YouTube over. I'm also aware that it's a Wednesday, not a Thursday, but it's annoying me soooooo much that I had to type something up about it. give my Facebook friends a break from my constant ranting and abuse!

Well, it's 2012 now and it's a new year ... which means only one thing. New beginnings. I usually make a load of false promises, like posting in this blog every thursday which I've messed up already. But now I'm back on track with things, I'm gonna change that.

Now most people make new year's resolutions and I'm no different. I've made a few resolutions, and I'm gonna be honest. Some people close to me are gonna get a bit of a shock because these WILL directly affect them. They don't know who they are, but they'll soon find out. So here's a very short list of resolutions:

1) Gain a voice! What I mean by this is ... well ... don't take no crap from anybody. And I mean ANYBODY. That includes friends, acquaintances, people I've only just met, maybe even family. I'm sick of people taking advantage of my nice nature, and p***ing me off. So when they try to do it again, I'm simply going to say "No!". No reasons needed. Just "No".

2) Look after myself. And I don't mean exercise more, or eat healthier (which I'll probably do anyway), I mean look after myself and my own interests. For too long I've neglected my own wants for the benefit of others ... and everytime I'm the one that gets screwed over. So guess what? If I don't want to, I won't. Simple! I won't turn into a complete b*tch, I'll still help people, but if it leads to me being taken advantage of, and you sipping away merrily at your lovely vodka coke whilst I'm slaving away doing everything you should be doing ... then consider it the last time I jump to help you.

3) Learn the basics of life, like cooking.

And that's it for my resolutions. It's essentially becoming a new person. The person I really am. No pretending to keep people happy anymore. My new year's resolutions are basically me becoming me. Now to move on ...

I feel that I should probably fill in the gap I left for the last 2-3 weeks. Well, not that much happened, all I can really promise you is that the last 2-3 weeks have been a real drag. It started after my New Year's Day Hangover. Life is pretty hard to remember until I started work. Finance essay about capital structure was lame as. But I had a complete mind freeze (not blank). Stuff was there in my head but I just couldn't structure it into words. So it took way too long to finish it, but I finished it at 10.30am on the hand in day, Jan 12th. But after handing it in, I got a little lost in South Shields which was fun. McDonalds hunting isn't as easy as I thought.

Then University started again, but at the moment I've only got 2 hour weeks. Business hasn't started yet, so until Feb, I've got 2 hours on a Tuesday then I'm finished for the weekend. Then the only other things I can truly recall are Jade's 18th and several trips to the pub, followed by a McDonalds. Oh what an interesting life I have .... NOT! I signed up to DC Universe, completed the Saints Row the Third GenkiBowl VII DLC within an hour, screamed at YouTube for failing to upload my videos properly, and am recommencing my addiction to Irn Bru.

Then my step-dad was in a minor car crash this morning. I say minor, the Astra was written off, but he's in one piece and no-one else was injured. He went head first into a lamp-post. Car looked ok considering, but I suppose he was only going 35mph. Oh who cares!? At least he's ok.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is my crappy 2012 so far. I'm STILL waiting for my Batman belt to arrive! It should be here soon-ish. With that I'm gonna shut up and find something to talk about next week. For now ... T

Ok so Christmas has been. I did eventually get excited but not until Christmas Eve. I got stuff I wanted ... and stuff I never thought anyone would buy br 'cos I would never touch it .... EVER! But today is boxing day .. and it's time to reflect.

Some of my best christmas presents came in the form of clothing items and blu-rays. My utmost favourites (yes, plural!) are my Sheldon tee with Bazinga on it, it's just soo amazing. There's also my Bop-it, just because I'm also called Bop-it too! There's my Nike air Max trainers, white and purple. I don't think I could take them off my feet! And my watch, first thing I asked for and it matches my Air Max!

Then there's the blu-rays; batman anthology 1989-1997, Complete Harry Potter Collection, films 1-8, Despicable Me (I've wanted it since March!) and Big Bang theory season 4 (but that's not blu-ray). I love them all sooo much.

There's a few other thing i got that i love, like my new cookbook,s 'cos i cant cook, then there's the edible stuff of course ('cept the dandelion & burdock or whatever it's called ...), my new UGG boots for tha winter! and the multitude of christmas socks I gained from everybody ... C'OS IT AIN'T CHRISTMAS WITHOUT CHRISTMAS SOCKS!

Then we move on to Xmas dinner. What a feast! Bruchettas and chease wrapped in ham with balsamic vinegar, theta cheese and olives, followed by beef, turkey, 2 types of stuffing, pigs in blankets, brussel sprouts, parsnip, carrots, yorkshire puds and gravy! And if that wasn't enough ... dessert was a choice of meringues, cheesecake, vienetta, home-made trifle and chocolate pud (and i believe we had brownie too). Gosh I couldn't fit it all in, and probably put on a good stone or two in weight.

The rest of the night was spent watching Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Downtown Abbey Xmas special, and Boardwalk Empire, but that was after watching about 2 hours of Big Bang Theory. Got through 7 episodes!

Christmas was good for me, and I hope you all had a great Xmas too. Unfortunately, my vlog failed a little, thanks to crappy technology, but hopefully I'll be able to sort that out soon. Take care!

It's Thursday 22nd December 2011 (well, technically my clock says Friday 23rd ...) meaning it's so much closer to Xmas. Most people would be super excited by now but I don't seem to be ...i

Might be 'cos I have a small idea of stuff I have ... well only one thing really. A nice pair of Nike Air Max trainers. They've been sitting there over a month now and I get to wear them in 2-3 days.

Other than that I don't have a clue what I've got and to be honest, I like the surprise. Wondering is kinda killing the excitement for me in a way. I think the fun is sitting on Christmas day touching up your presents like a sick pervert and taking one guess just before you open it. Fun!

You know what else s fun on Xmas Day? Dinner. Dinner this year is gonna be fricken awesome/ It has to be when there's 4 different desserts on offer, 50 pigs in blankets and so much meat a vegetarian's eyes would melt.

Not to mention the multitude of Blu-rays we have coming in this year. I can't name some of them for fear of who may be reading ... but I can say that I may have the Batman Anthology on Blu-ray. BATMAN FTW!

Xmas is a great time of year that only comes once and I hope you all have a very good Christmas. Next post will be about my presents and hopes for the New Year but for now ...

Merry Christmas, enjoy your presents as much as I will!

Well, I don't usually post on Mondays but 'cos I don't have a video to post, mainly 'cos I've been in Carlisle for tha weekend with my bro and a few good mates, I'll do this blog post instead.

The boys went out to town on saturday and left me and good pal Franki alone with laptops and we started on some Warcraft! Now if you haven't heard of Warcraft by now ... shame on you ... But for those who have, you'll understand the guild systems, ie chat, etc. So we started up some guild chat after I invited her to my guild named Broken Society.

When i say chat, i mean we totally stopped using the language we know as English and talked in code ... or acronyms if that's what you wanna call it. So, we made a note of them on Franki's blog (www.keriskillkrafts.blogspot.com) and I'll be making a page of them on this site.

I'm also saying that for this week in Broken Society (Ravenholdt Eu, horde) it's acronym week and acronyms should be used wherever possible!

So it hasn't been long since my last post, 2-3 days I think. But I made myself a rule that a new blog would be posted every Thursday and ... well ... today is Thursday so here's a post.

Last day of Uni (YAY!) until January (Boo!) and I spent all day today and yesterday working my tiny little ass off to finish my ethics report. Deadline was the 16th but I'm heading to Carlisle then so I agreed with myself that I'd get it done before I left so I could relax and enjoy my trip (and it's hard to submit work at Sunderland University library when you're in Carlisle ... just saying).

So I slaved away, trying to get at least 2700 words (the limit was 3000 but theres a +/- 10% thing I think) and today at about 2.45pm I got there ... I'm guessing times by the way, all I know is I missed my finance seminar because of referencing ...

Ok, so I'm sitting doing my referencing with my good pal Lee, and I eventually get it ready to hand in, so I print it off and fill in the cover sheet thing you need when you hand stuff in. I was relieved when I gave the rather sincere looking woman in the library my assignment and walked out with my head held high ...

... until I was half way to the metro on my way home!

I missed out a simple reference! Seriously, wtf!? I sat for a couple of hours working solely on my reference lis and I miss out fricken one! I just can't believe it. All the pride I felt from working so hard over the past 3 days was ruined by my failure to copy and paste my in-text citation (which looked very much like the reference I needed to type up, had the name of the guy, name of the lecture, date given etc)! Oh my God! Seriously, does somebody have a problem with me meeting deadlines or something. They don't care if I save my work 'til the morning of the deadline but any sooner than 24 hours before and "Oh I'm sorry you can't do that right now, but if you wanna, then allow me to fuck something up for you so it looks like you put no effort into it what-so-ever!"

And breathe ....

Ok that's my rant for today over. Maybe next week's post won't rant as much and might actually be about something funny or interesting ...
